The choice of a surface finish is just as important to the effectiveness of the laminate as well as for aesthetics.

Formica AR Plus® PlusAR (AB):
Smooth gloss finish, prevents scuffs and scratches. AR Plus is twice as strong as traditional gloss laminates.

Gloss® (GLS):
Offers a luxurious finish in a wide range of colours and patterns.

MicroDot™ (MIC):
MicroDot is playful and modern, offering a subtle lattice structure with concave dots and satin coating in low gloss, providing a three-dimensional aspect with optical effect.

Matte58™(MAT):
In combination with designs inspired on natural materials, Matte58 ™ offers a bright and modern atmosphere.

Linewood™ (LNW):
A rich, complex finish reminiscent of softwood brushed with a wire brush. That provides a special structure, versatile to combine with wood- and solid colors. The alternation between glossy and matt zones looks great and surprisingly, the surface feels very natural and at the same time silky soft.

Naturelle™ (NAT):
Offers an almost natural wood grain with an elegant matt coating.

Plex™ (PLX):
The Plex ™ structure, winner of the Red Dot Award, is inspired on woven silk satin, with its subtle reflections and fine texture. This small-scale and versatile finishing option is impressive: it feels like textile, fresh and soft, with a slight sheen.

Puregrain™ (PGN):
Pure Grain ™ is a smooth, linear wood grain. A timeless and yet unique interpretation of a lightly brushed, natural wood. Pure Grain ™ feels subtle and has a slight sheen.

Quarry™ (QRY):
A subtle surface detail featured with a soft polished sheen gives the authentic feel of natural materials.

Rigato™ (RIG):
Vertically oriented reprocessed lines that provide texture and absorb light, thus creating a unique laminate feeling.

Schulpted™ (SCU):
Horizontally oriented light-catching finish. Cut finish; creates not only a visual but also a tactile appeal.

Chiselled™:
Chiselled ™ achieves the look and feel of hand-carved wood.

Grained™:
Grained ™ accomplishes the effect of freshly treated wood pores.

Matte™:
The elegant Matte ™ finish provides a natural tone and simplicity in rooms.

Gloss™ (GLS):
Offers a luxurious finish in a wide range of colors and patterns.

This collection contains following sorts of decorative laminate with their specific characteristics. The quality varieties are according to EN438:2005.

Formica® Laminate
Quality HPL/EN 438-3 HGP:

Horizontal, postformable decorative high pressure laminate for general use (nominal thickness 0,7 mm).

Quality VFP:

VFP is not present in the classification system EN 438

ColorCore® by Formica Group
Quality HPL/EN 438-9 BTS:

Standard thin decorative high pressure laminate with colored core.
Quality CAR:
Wear resistant thin decorative high pressure high gloss laminate with colored core.

Quality CAR is not present in the classification system EN 438

Formica® Compact
Quality HPL/EN 438-4 CGS:

Compact, standard decorative high pressure laminate for general use. EN 13501 euro class D-s2, do.

Quality HPL/EN 438-4 CGF:

Compact, fire retarding decorative high pressure laminate for general use. EN 13501 euro class ≥ 6 mm B-s1,do.

AR Plus® by Formica
Quality PAR:

Wear resistant, postformable decorative high pressure high gloss laminate.
Quality FAR:
Wear resistant, fire retarding decorative high pressure high gloss laminate.

PAR and FAR are not present in the classification system EN 438.

DecoMetal® by Formica Group

Quality HPL/EN 438-8 MTF:

Fire resistant, thin decorative high pressure design laminat in metal.
Quality HPL/EN 438-8 MTP:
Metal, postformable, thin decorative high pressure design laminate in metal.

MTF and MTP qualities are recommended for vertical applications.
DecoMetal®-laminate meets the EN438-2005-requirements. Quality MTF and IMO-/MED- and USCG-certification regarding to fire safety.

Kwaliteit VGS:

Verticaal, standaard decoratief hogedruklaminaat voor algemeen gebruik (nominale dikte 1,3 mm).

> M5316 Korten, heeft een oppervlak in melamine ijzerdeeltjes. Een zeker magnetisch effect is mogelijk. Tijdens de verwerking kunnen vonken ontstaan.
› M5316 Koren, is een handgemaakt ontwerp en elke plaat is uniek. Geen twee bladen zijn dezelfde en dat is eigen aan het ontwerp en het productieproces.

Formica® Magnetic Laminate
Quality MLB:

Standard magnetic laminate.

MLB is not present in the classification system EN438.

Formica Ligna®
Quality VVS:

Veneer, vertical, standard (nominal thickness 1,0 mm).
Quality VVF:
Veneer, vertical, fire retarding (nominal thickness 1,0 mm).

Classification of fire resistance according to EN 13501-1:2010-01 C-s2, d0 IMO-/MED & USCG-certification regarding to fire safety according to FTP-code Annes 1, Part 5, Nr. 2.1 and Part 6 Nr. 2.1
Formica Ligna® in VVF quality is available on demand, with conditions regarding to minimal purchase and deliverly time.
VVS en VVF are not present in the classification system EN 438.

Younique® by Formica Group

Quality HPL/EN 438-3 HGP:

Horizontal, postformable decorative high pressure laminate for general use (nominal thickness 0,7 mm).

Kwaliteit HPL/EN 438-3 HGS:

Horizontal, standard decorative high pressure laminate for general use (nominal thickness 0,9 mm).
Quality HPL/EN 438-4 CGF*:
Compact, fire retarding decorative high pressure laminate for general use (nominal thickness 3-20 mm).
Quality HPL/EN 438-4 CGS:
Compact, standard decorative high pressure laminate for general use (nominal thickness 3-20 mm).
Quality VFP*:
Vertical, fire retarding postformable decoratvie high pressure laminate (nominal thickness 0,7 mm).
