Western Red Cedar is a very sustainable variety of softwood, mainly growing on the west coast of Canada and North-America. This variety is famous because of its color variations, going from light yellow brown, through pink brown to chocolate brown.

Western Red Cedar nr. 2 Clear & Better is mainly applied as claddering and outside panelling, but also for other applications like indoor panelling and roof covering.
It is a wood variety that is popular when high sustainability, low shrinkage and swelling and a good insulation value are important.
